for Fallen From Grace

A SoundPress.net Feature Article by Rich and Laura Lynch

The venues that host New Jersey's acoustic pop driven quartet Fallen From Grace have a lot in common with a Thanksgiving turkey — they're usually stuffed! That was the case on Thanksgiving eve when the band returned to the Double D's Rock Club to headline their last gig of the year.

Fallen From Grace is (l. to r.): Steve, Greg, Dave & Dave

On November 26, 2003 Abztrak Productions presented Fallen From Grace at the Double D's Rock and Night Club for an energizing performance. The band played a mix of their originals from their self-titled debut release as well as performing several well-executed covers including Peter Gabriel's 'In Your Eyes' and U2's 'Where the Streets Have No Name'.

Fallen From Grace has been headlining the venue for much of the year as part the Abztrakt Independent Music Series. The have been impressing audiences with their innovative music that features both electric and acoustic guitars, bongos in place of a traditional drum kit and a DJ who adds sound effects, beats and plays keyboards. Their modern sound is complete with well-written songs full of catchy hooks and enticing melody. Fallen From Grace plays with passion and energy and have a commanding stage presence and they were well received by the packed rock club. Fans appreciate the experimentation and fun that the band brings to their songs. Lead vocalist, Greg Galdieri, has a versatile vocal style that is clear and concise.

This was the band's last official live performance of 2003 and on this night they announced that their immediate plans included heading into the studio in early 2004 to record a their follow-up CD.

Fallen From Grace is on the rise!

Fallen From Grace is also catching on in other parts of the country as well. In attendance was Milwaukee Brewers' right-fielder Pete Zoccolillo who steps up to the plate to the band's song "As the World Stands Still" at the home games he plays in and the band dedicated the evening's performance of the song to him.

The evening's festivities began with acoustic sets from John Taglieri and Ed and Virginia from Coventry Road.
