A SoundPress.net CD Review
![]() The Unravelling are Australian-based purveyors of modern day new wave music whose songs provide a heavy dose of techno pop and thunder from down under. It all comes together for the foursome on the opener "Come Undone" which jars with memorable melodies and jolts of kinetic keyboard. This first track sets the tone for Everything is Normal and sets the bar high for this music outfit that is far from ordinary. As the album unravels a charismatic and captivating presence is revealed on the album's 11 radio-friendly tracks. The band is led by the ghostly and inviting pulse of singer Ciara McKeown. She fronts a quality quartet of electro-elites who provide the groove and sonic undertones on this fine first effort. "Time Bomb" closes out the record with an alarming and frantic three minutes of fun. In between you'll find plenty of evidence that "The Unravelling" are a band soon to explode on the music scene.
