Jeff Healey was born and raised in Canada. Jeff started learning guitar at age three developing the unique style of playing the instrument flat on his lap that added a vibrato effect to his sound. He formed The Jeff Healey Band (JHB) with bassist Joe Rockman and drummer Tom Stephen. In 1988, they released See the Light that featured two hit songs and established them as a mainstream act. Sadly, Jeff died from health issues in 2007. But, the talented songwriter is alive and well through his music, in particular on the recent U.S. release of his Get Me Some album (Eagle Rock Entertainment).
